Summary

Code Enforcement Officer - Colts Neck Township. The township has an immediate need for a full-time Code Enforcement Officer. The Code Enforcement Officer will proactively and consistently interpret and enforce all regulations of the Colts Neck Township Land Use Law, Property Maintenance Code, and all related Township ordinances and rules and regulations. Successful candidate will conduct on-site inspections, investigate reports of potential violations, initiate necessary legal action, prepare required reports, establish and maintain records and files, and testify in court when necessary. Will also work closely with Administration and Zoning to review and update as needed the Township's codes. This position demands independent judgement and relies on experience, initiative, and appropriate discretion. Requirements include a minimum of three (3) years related experience, computer proficiency, strong communication skills, valid NJ Driver License and a working knowledge of municipal government and the municipal court system.
