Summary
Position DescriptionFidelity Technologies Services, LLC is looking for a qualified part-time on-call Access Control/Guard to join our professional team at MCAS Beaufort, SC providing support to the Marine Aviation Training Systems Squadron.
General Description:
The Guard will work at the Marine Aviation Training Systems Squadron (MATSS) and will perform general 'front desk' tasks with a focus on "guarding" access to MATSS; in addition to access-control and general clerical tasks, this position maybe tasked with assisting in the house-keeping of the building and/or any similar duties as directed by the supervisor.
Typical duties (non-inclusive):
The MATSS Guard is the first point of contact for visitors to the FA-18 Simulators, MATSS Classrooms, and simulator offices. As the first point of contact, the Guard is responsible for all Access Control into the building and is tasked to verify clearances from staff and visitors as his/her primary responsibility. The position is also responsible for general clerical tasks such as scheduling, keeping logs, receiving mail, packages and other correspondence.
The position is staffed around the clock to include nights, weekends, and holidays. The 24/7/365 level of support requires that staff is available to work at any time of any day as specified by the customer.
The person in this position greets all persons coming into the building and checks personnel desiring entry against authorized access rosters before allowing access. They are responsible to restrict building access to only persons listed on an approved list. In addition to clerical duties like answering telephone calls; they must notify base fire, PMO, medical, security, as directed/required to include ANY suspected breach of security. Log and notify staff of any ongoing issues between shifts.
In addition to the duties above, this position is tasked with assisting in the general housekeeping of the facility to include trash removal, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing, etc. of the building's surfaces, walls, floors, desks, chairs, cabinets, furniture, ledges, handrails, fire apparatus, pictures, doors, etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. Must be available to work at any time of day, any day of the year.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Windows Operating System and knowledge of Office Software.
1 year of experience in Access Control; OR 'Front Desk'; OR Clerical/Secretarial support; OR any education and experience that demonstrates the candidate's ability to work in the required environment and perform the duties as required.
Ability to obtain and retain a SECRET DoD Clearance through a security investigation.
Desired Qualifications:
2 years' Experience providing Access Control in a Military Environment, preferably in a Secret or Top Secret facility.
Active SECRET or higher clearance.
Additional Requirements:
Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb 2 flights of stairs.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Must present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress at all times.
The applicant must be a US citizen and must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
