Health & Safety Inspector Assistant

To assist the Health & Safety Inspector in the inspection, care and maintenance of fire extinguishers and life safety equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly fire and life safety device inspections.
• Perform minor maintenance & periodic adjustments to fire extinguishers, cabinets & related equipment.
• Identify & report other safety violations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Exchange and replace fire extinguishers as needed.
• Write incident reports.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, push & carry up to 50 lbs.
• Willing & able to follow directions & work independently.
• Maintain valid driver's license & be insurable by BGSU.
• Familiar with MS Office programs, including Word & Excel.
• Must be attentive to detail and accuracy.
