Shall keep file of order of finish for each race card for the Racing Secretary and Racing Commission.Essential Job Functions Answers phonesTakes entries in boothRegisters foal papers & silksInputs foal papers & silks in computerPut running numbers on the tote board each raceRecord complete order of finish after each raceNotify stewards of placingsNotify mutuels of placingsOperate tote boardOperate photo finish system when necessaryStop betting when horses break from gateReport order to Equibase chart callerFill out and turn in placing slips to appropriate partiesCall final order around to appropriate partiesAll other duties as assigned by managementQualifications (Education) High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 years related experience and/or training; or combination.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be knowledgeable of the Rules of Racing.Responsible for fostering a fun environment.Responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers.Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events.Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.Ensures that behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards.Maintains a professional work environment with management and staffAble to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environmentExcellent customer service/communication skillsMust meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.Written communication skills in English may also be required.Training 3 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.Licenses/Certifications/Other Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)Physical Requirements Strength:Sedentary to medium workloadStand, sit and walk consistentlyWill be required to lift up to or over 20lbs or exert occasionally over 50lbsMovement:Will consistently be required to touch, feel, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, reachWill use office equipmentDriving motor vehicles as neededAuditory:Frequently speak and articulateNoise levels will be varied from moderate to heavy machineryEnvironmental:Exposure to weather and extreme elements are minimalMinimal exposure in close proximity to horses#J-18808-Ljbffr
