Marine TechnicianRock Harbor Marina is hiring an experienced marine technician that can complement our team. The Marine Technician position is a key part of our service team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing marine motors in a professional and timely manner that represents the quality Rock Harbor is known for. If this type of position interests you, please apply.Responsibilities:Test, inspect, investigate, and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures on customer vesselsPerform routine maintenance on inboard, stern drive, and outboard motorsRecognize safety issues and present findings to the service department for customer awareness and increased salesRepair and replace OEM and aftermarket components when applicableInstall electronics and accessoriesPerform river tests for quality assuranceExamine boat and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the service advisor or customerPerform diagnostics and repair of all types of marine engines and transmissions and drivesPerform mechanical repair work, such as:Remove engine, transom, or outdriveDisassemble the unit and inspect parts for wearOverhaul or replace carburetors, blowers, distributors, starters, pumps, electrical and fuel systemsRebuild parts such as engine cylinder blocksRewire ignition system, lights, and instrument panelQualifications:Excellent knowledge of marine motor mechanics and boat systemsTwo years minimum experience as a Marine MechanicAble to perform installations and repairs per instructions and to specsKnowledge and practice of shop safety proceduresJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $20.00 – $30.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental pay types:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Nashville, TN 37209: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Marine Technician: 2 years (Required)
