Summary

A leading industrial organization is seeking an SPI Designer to maintain and develop instrumentation data and documentation within SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI). The role will ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant instrumentation records across plant operations, capital projects, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.The position will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Project Teams, SPI Administrators, SMEs, and external contractors to maintain high-quality instrumentation data and support safe, reliable plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiionCreate, revise, and maintain instrument datasheets within SPI.Update loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and associated instrumentation documentation.Incorporate approved engineering markups, field redlines, MOCs, and project changes into SPI.Review instrumentation documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established design and drafting standards.Interpret P&IDs, instrument drawings, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications.Quality Control & Project SupportPerform QA/QC reviews of SPI deliverables received from engineering contractors and capital projects.Validate instrument data, wiring information, loop configurations, and database records prior to release. Use SQL queries, audits, and data valida tion to identify discrepancies and maintain database integrity.Review project documentation packages and identify inconsistencies or gaps requiring resolution.Coordinate with project and engineering teams to resolve documentation and data quality issues.Support project closeout by ensuring instrumentation records are accurately updated and integrated into plant systementAssign instrument and loop numbers for new projects and MOC activities.Coordinate the creation of instrument and equipment records wi thi nSAP.Maintain consistent tagging and numbering standards across SPI andSAP.Support the activation, modification, and retirement of instrumentation records as plant equipment changes.Data Integrity & System ManagementMaintain the accuracy and integrity of instrumentation data within SPI.Process instrumentation check-ins and verify all required documentation is complete.Support database cleanup and data correction initiatives.Identify and resolve discrepancies within instrumentation re#J-18808-Ljbffr
