Job Summary
Performs responsible, skilled work involving the operation of large front-end loading vehicles to collect commercial refuse from designated areas of the City of Orlando. Work is performed under the supervision of the Field Supervisor. Performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation of routes, trip tickets, and discussion of problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of the Solid Waste Driver Program, or two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment vehicles of 18,000 GVW or more and familiarity with hydraulics operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Class B CDL or higher required. Or a Valid Class B CDL or higher from any state required at time of application. Valid Florida Class B CDL or higher required within 30 days of employment. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
