Summary
Job Summary:As a Technology Repair Dispatcher, you will be the central point of coordination between customers, technicians, and internal teams. You will manage service appointments, track technician progress, and ensure smooth communication and documentation throughout the repair and installation process. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a challenging environment, enjoys problem-solving, and values precision.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answer customer calls and provide timely updates on service status
- Schedule and dispatch technicians for service, installation, and equipment relocation
- Create, update, and close service and tech support tickets
- Maintain and forecast dispatch schedules and technician workloads
- Track technician locations, ETAs, and job progress
- Prepare and send daily service reports and closed job summaries to sales
- Ship inventory and installation parts to technicians
- Build installation tickets and compile reports for project managers
- Reconcile technician timecards with GPS and service logs
- Manage Outlook calendar for meetings and installations
- Upload/download panel data and maintain service documentation
- Coordinate with subcontractors and follow up on service completion and invoicing
- Perform other duties as needed to support dispatch operations
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Adaptable to change and able to work independently or in a team
- Familiarity with service area geography or map-reading skills
- Advanced customer service and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- High school diploma, or general education degree (GED)
- Two years related experience and/or training in customer service, dispatching or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift twenty-five pounds
