Gate Attendant - Part Time

Cape Island Resort Cape May, NJ, US Seasonal Part Time $17 per hour

Gate Attendants greet all visitors, vendors, contractors, residents, and prospective buyers and directs them to their destinations. They obtain pertinent information from each non-resident/guest entering the community, and hands-out promotional materials to prospective guests and residents.

Job Duties

• Greets all visitors, vendors, contractors, residents, and prospective buyers, directing them to their destinations
• Obtains name, license plate numbers, phone number, and email address of each non-resident/guest entering the community. Forwards information obtained to the sales office for follow-up within 24 hours (if applicable)
• Notes all unusual occurrences on the daily log sheets
• Hands-out promotional material to prospective guests and residents
• Answers the telephone courteously and records pre-call visitor information appropriately
• Prepares pre-call sheets for the following day
• Submits maintenance requests for issues such as electrical, sewer and water break problems as needed
• Greets and registers late arriving guests, if applicable
• Checks buildings, turns-off lights, locks doors and gates as directed
• Monitors the community, noting any deficiencies (i.e. broken lights, missing signs, etc.)
• Checks homes for unusual situations requiring attention (i.e. open doors, running water, etc)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work events during non-business hours
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to read maps
• Must have a valid driver's license
