Summary
An established and growing construction firm is seeking an experienced Multifamily Superintendent to lead the field operations of large-scale, ground-up multifamily developments. This individual will have a proven track record of delivering 200+ unit wood-frame apartment communities from site mobilization through final turnover. Client Details Our client is a respected developer / general contractor with a strong presence in multifamily construction throughout northern New Jersey. Known for delivering high-quality residential projects, the company specializes in ground-up developments and maintains a reputation for operational excellence, safety, and long-term client relationships. Description Key Responsibilities Oversee all on-site construction activities for ground-up multifamily projects. Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved. Lead project execution from site development and foundation work through framing, MEP installations, finishes, and occupancy. Coordinate daily field operations and maintain project schedules with the project management team. Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors, ownership representatives, architects, and consultants. Ensure compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Track project milestones, identify schedule risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain detailed project documentation, daily reports, and safety records. Drive quality control processes and manage punch list completion through project closeout. Foster a collaborative and professional jobsite environment. Profile The Successful Candidate 10+ years of construction experience with significant multifamily project experience. Prior experience serving as Lead Superintendent on at least one ground-up wood-frame multifamily development exceeding 200 units. Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion and turnover. Strong knowledge of wood-frame construction methods, sequencing, building systems, and site logistics. Experience coordinating multiple trades in occupied or active construction environments. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. OSHA certification preferred. Proficient with construction management software and field reporting tools. Stable employment history with a track record of successfully completed multifamily projects.
