Armed Security Guard

IDS International is looking for a full-time Armed Security Guard to support our contract overseeing the Truman Presidential Library in Independence, Missouri and will report to our Program Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining visibility, patrolling the facility, securing access points, registering guests, detaining violators, and providing security during special events.

Required Qualifications:

• Be a citizen of the United States AND be at least 21 years of age
• Have the ability to pass all pre-employment physicals and testing as the job requires standing for extended periods of time
• Received a minimum high school diploma or GED
• Three years of military, security or law enforcement experience within the last 5 years
• Applicants should be proficient with firearms and pass a firearms qualification course
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Shifts available: Night shift. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
