Summary
Traffic Monitoring Specialist
AECOM is seeking a Traffic Monitoring Specialist / Dispatcher / Call Center to be based in Detroit, MI. This is for an overnight shift (9pm - 5am) with weekends and some holiday hours required.
Position Details:
- Position is based out of client location near downtown Detroit, MI.
- Updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic events and congestion with devices such as closed-circuit camera TV systems/ cameras, detectors, etc.
- Act like an emergency dispatcher within a call center environment dispatching responders via a two-way radio system to assist motorists, respond to events and other activities that require timely and efficient responses.
- Perform data entry functions.
- Ability to fluently work in multiple PC applications simultaneously.
- Possess exceptional organizational skills to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in real time and in potentially serious situations.
- Possess exceptional communications skills both in written & verbal forms to effectively receive, document & relay information from numerous sources.
- Works under direct supervision performing moderately complex technical work utilizing instructions, examples, and results from computer systems.
- Perform critical thinking functions and assessments and make decisions based upon circumstances.
- 24/7/365 Environment
Minimum Requirements:
- High School + no experience
- Background and drug/alcohol screening required
- Willing to work 24/7/365 operation - must be willing to work outside of standard business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience of surveillance and or CCTV monitoring
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer/Client relationship experience
- Ability to multi-task
