Job Responsibilities:
- Pedestrian Safety:
- Safely guide students and pedestrians across designated crosswalks, ensuring they reach the other side of the road safely.
- Monitor and control vehicular traffic to facilitate the safe passage of pedestrians.
- Use appropriate signals and signage to direct traffic and pedestrians during crossing times.
- Traffic Control:
- Observe and analyze traffic patterns to determine optimal times for pedestrians to cross.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement or traffic control authorities when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure cooperation and compliance with crossing regulations.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- State and federal Background checks required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and moving quickly if necessary.
