Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides dispatch services, including but not limited to the following: answers telephone calls for security services, deploys security officers to assignments in order of priority, inputs data into the electronic Security Report Writing system, monitors CCTV system, assists with the door access system, takes minor cases over the telephone and submits reports accordingly.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Essential: Sitting, standing, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting carrying, pushing/pulling usual weight of 20 to 30 pounds, reaching above and below the waist, repetitive arm / hand motions.

• Frequent: Answering telephone calls for security service, operating two-way radio.

• Occasional: Walking, climbing stairs.

• Operates: Typewriter, computer, two-way radio, CCTV Camera System, fax machine, copier machine.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Occasionally exposed to irate telephone callers and subjected to possible verbal abuse. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• High school diploma or equivalency.

• Ability to speak, write and write English clearly as well as understand verbal and written communication.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience in a similar environment, such as law enforcement or security, is preferred.
