The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Policy, Planning, and Operational Support (PPOs) Administration offers a dynamic internship program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in public service, strategic planning, and operational support. Interns will gain valuable insight into state government and contribute to programs that impact the health and well-being of Michigan residents.

Intern Responsibilities / Projects:
- The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Policy, Planning, and Operational Support (PPOs) Administration offers a dynamic internship program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in public service, strategic planning, and operational support. Interns will gain valuable insight into state government and contribute to programs that impact the health and well-being of Michigan residents.
Office of Nursing Programs:
- Assist with social media campaigns, including creating infographics and related language.
- Assist with skills assessment program implementation.
- Help to program surveys, analyze responses, and support resulting report creation.
Workforce/Access Section:
- Support in provider validation for the shortage designation process.
- Updating list of health indicators and key health measures for the Statewide Community Health Needs Assessment update process.
- Provide support and assistance to current program staff with recruitment and retention programs.
Required Education and Experience
At the time of internship, must be currently enrolled pursuing your bachelor's or master's degree in one of the below areas of study: Public Policy/Social Work/Human Services
Alternate Education and Experience
Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Computer skills, Attention to detail, Writing skills
