To support the coding needs of the Cardiology division, the part-time CPC Certified Ambulatory Coder will abstract and validate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for various healthcare settings while adhering to compliance guidelines in a remote capacity.Key responsibilitiesAbstracts and codes medical records for assigned providers, ensuring adherence to coding and compliance guidelinesUtilizes coding software and resources to determine correct codes and communicates billing issues to supervisorsMentors and assists in training other coders while participating in coding educational opportunitiesRequired qualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferredFive years of professional fee coding experienceCertified Professional Coder (CPC) certificationSpecialty Certification from AAPC relevant to the assigned specialtyKnowledge of governmental and commercial payer guidelines
