Summary
Duties
Serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, answering visitor questions and explaining the area's recreational opportunities, including Saguaro interpretive activities, hiking trails, etc. Distribute maps and brochures, inform visitors of potential safety hazards, and provide directions.
Prepare and complete remittance reports for funds collected and perform assignments in accordance with all NPS and U.S. Treasury regulations governing the handling and remitting of government funds.
Review and verify the functionality of new fee related systems or modifications to existing systems as a result of regulatory and program requirements.
Review and verify the accuracy of manuals and/or standard operating procedures for the implementation of new and existing system designs and/or modifications.
Provide informal and formal training and education to employees, volunteers, interns, cooperating association representatives, etc. regarding automated and non-automated fee processes, systems, software programs, tools, etc.
