As a Code Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community by enforcing local government ordinances related to public safety. Minimum Qualifications:

• HS or GED required; experience in code enforcement, law enforcement, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field is preferred.
• Experience working in a local government agency.
• Knowledge of ordinances and regulations specific to the Jonesboro area.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of properties and businesses to ensure compliance with local ordinances and regulations.
• Investigate complaints related to public safety.
• Issue citations and notices of violation as necessary.
