Description
The Security Dispatcher serves as the central communication hub for the Security Department, relaying critical information between Security Officers and Management. This role involves managing a multi-line communication center, including handling radio and telephone messages. In addition to clerical duties, Security Dispatchers must make quick, informed decisions, particularly during emergencies, while effectively juggling multiple tasks. A strong grasp of departmental policies and procedures is essential for maintaining smooth operations.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor cameras, access control systems, and alarm panels to identify and respond to potential security threats in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and direct security officers to respond to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance throughout the property, focusing on prompt and effective action.
- Maintain continuous coordination with the Global Security Operations Center.
- Operate communication equipment, such as two-way radios and telephones, to relay critical information between security teams, management, and other departments.
- Maintain accurate logs of communication, incidents, emergencies, and security activities in real-time, maintaining clear and detailed records for reporting and follow-up.
- Follow established protocols during emergencies, such as fire, medical incidents, or active threats, while maintaining clear communication and coordination with local authorities.
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency medical services, and other external agencies as needed, providing support and information during incidents or emergencies.
- Own dispatch calls for service including those related to security or lost and found items. Resolve issues promptly, follow up to support guest satisfaction, answer incoming calls, and coordinate with other departments as necessary.
- Assist in investigations by locating and retrieving relevant video footage, facilitating accurate and timely identification of key evidence for review.

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Education
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Customer service experience Preferred
- Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience. Preferred
- Previous experience working in a similar setting. Preferred
- This is varied communications work involving the skillful and prompt operation of security operations radio, telephone, and computer reporting.
- Adequate knowledge of telephone and radio operating requirements and techniques.
- Ability to develop skill and speed in the operation of radio, telephone, and report management systems.
- Ability to speak clearly in a well-modulated voice and deal with the public and other employees acceptably.
- Ability to participate in all evacuation procedures to aid guests and employees during an emergency.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment.
- Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency, and effectively use various computer software.
- Candidates will be required to satisfactorily pass a security dispatch training course.
