Summary

Crossing Guard

Note: This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The salary will be based on the 2025-2026 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Ability to work effectively with others
  3. Ability to perform duties within assigned time frames
  4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Reports To:

Building Principal

Supervises:

No supervision of other personnel

Job Goal:

Assure safety of students in route to school or home

Crossing Guard 1.5 hours

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that each student safely crosses the street.
  2. Positively communicate with students and parents in giving directions.
  3. All other duties related to job as assigned by the principal.

Terms Of Employment: 169 days per school year

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy in relation to the evaluation of classified personnel.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Clearances: Non-Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
