QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated record of successful employment.
  3. Previous experience working with school children.
  4. Demonstrated ability to use good judgment.
  5. Valid CPR/First Aid Certificates are required.
  6. Educational Aide Permit is required.
  7. Must complete all training as required by Sylvania Schools and/or the Ohio Department of Education.
JOB GOAL: To assist students, parents, and district staff by maintaining traffic in the parking lot with arriving and departing buses, safety rules, and directives as set forth by the local Police Department and the Sylvania Board of Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Supervise students in the parking lot and maintain a safe atmosphere.
  2. Assume responsibility for students.
  3. Supervise movement of students to and from the building and buses.
  4. Responsible to enter personal absences on Red Rover and Time Clock Plus.
  5. Responsible to check your district email account on a regular basis, and to communicate as needed via district email.

  1. Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities with building administration as necessary to assure successful daily operation of the school.
