Firefighter
You will serve as a firefighter who works to control and extinguish fires, rescue persons endangered by fire, and reduce or eliminate potential fire hazards.
You will respond to fire and hazardous materials incidents; detection of the presence of hazardous materials, secures the area, identify the hazardous material, control further spills mitigating further danger and coordinating clean-up procedures.
You will perform combat fires and rescue personnel on ships and vessels. By suppressing wildfires using heavy-duty vehicles/equipment, and/or constructing fire lines in hazardous conditions.
You will initiate established medical protocols in providing basic life support.
You will perform the following Technical Rescue functions: rope, vehicle and machinery, confined space, structural collapse, and wilderness.
You will comply with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
You will select and apply the proper techniques or procedures for fire suppression and emergency situations.
You will maintain firefighting equipment and fire station facilities. Performs functional tests and inspections.
