    Job Description

    Insight Global is currently seeking an MBSE to join an AirForce contract in Dayton, OH. Phalanx Griffon (PG) is the Air Force's flagship airborne node connecting warfighters to decision‑quality data across the DAF Battle Network. As a Journeyman Systems Engineer, you will support Major Release 2 (FY25–27) by driving model‑based systems engineering, requirements development, architecture work, and interface definition across hardware, software, and operations elements. This role applies MBSE practices using tools such as NoMagic Cameo Systems Modeler to capture, decompose, and trace requirements, develop system structure and behavior, and analyze system‑level architecture. You will collaborate closely with government stakeholders, software, test, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure system designs are accurate, traceable, and simulation‑ready. Daily work includes developing SysML models, refining architectures, supporting interface definition, enabling executable modeling, and contributing to the digital engineering thread that transforms concepts into flight‑ready capability.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree and 8–12 years relevant experience OR Master's with 6–10 years in systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering, or related field

     • Additional 4 years of experience acceptable in lieu of a degree

     • Active DoD TS clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI

     • Experience working in a SIL environment

     • Experience with SysML; Cameo/MagicDraw • Active TS/SCI

     • Experience with Agile (SCRUM or Kanban)

     • Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)

     • OCSMP certification

     • Experience with SysML executable simulations and scripting languages

     • Experience with MBSE methodologies such as MagicGrid

    Understanding of military CONOPS
